Setup of VPN Connection to Client’s Network

Part of the project scope is to enable our network to access to the Client’s CRM system as part of the systems for BPO service.  In the discussion, our Global IT has made a pact with the Client’s Global management that we can only established 1 single, fixed VPN connection between them within a given IP address range.

With that policy in-place, I conducted a conference call with our Infrastructure Manager and the Client’s Network Manager to discuss how we shall proceed with the setups as we are 2 weeks away for the system to be ready for training that may require hands-ons.  After a few mails’ correspondences with the Client with the understanding that they are also working on creating VPN token and connection files to be installed into the PCs in the 4 country offices, we have finally agreed to follow the existing policy.

With that, I had less than 4 working days to test out the VPN connections from these 4 country offices to our Global network in UK which is having the existing, single fixed VPN tunnel to the Client’s network.  We managed to enage the local IT executive at each office to assist the connectivity testing and we had done it on-time! 🙂  With the user profiles provided by the Client, we are able to test the login to the system without fail and sign-off the setups.

Great work from the teams!
