Preparing the Test Enviroment and Setups

No matter how hard you try to do your plannings on the tasks you assigned to and inform people of your plan, there are constraints and lack of team commitment to share with the issues on the project, especially working with an offshore development team. It always the case when development works take out most of the project timeline, and little time is left for testing.

In the project I am doing right now, user training is a dependency to the development works as we need to have the ‘ready-to-use’ solution to show to the users and also to allow hands-on as to gain the user’s confidence on using the solution. I have left with only 2 working days to familiarize with the system on Jan 27, prepare the system guide and training material. Not to mention I have to ensure the test data and configurations require to setup for the country for the trainings being planned on Jan 24 – 29 at 2 countries.

Next few days, I am going to create more test data and review the internal test cases on what to cover. 😉
