Hardwares’ Inspections

With the project go-live date postponed for at least 2 months at this time of writing, we need to review the existing hardwares’ specifications at the Production sites to ensure the requirements meet the solution’s needs.

When we were about a week ago to start to deploy the solution on-sites, our technical specialist went down to one site to perform the installation and testing on one machine (an existing equipment). We discovered there were a few of bugs in which 2 of them were already reported and fixed in earlier system integration testing, not to mention I was the one who retested and closed the defects! It seems like the development team has lost control of version control of the software and right now, we have to gather the existing hardwares, on-site to bring this information back to them for further investigations to ensure the needed requirements are covered.

Items to cover:

  • Printing speed from direct connection (using COM port) of printer to PC
  • Printing speed from network printer to PC
  • Label size (stationary size)
  • Print size from existing printer
